If you have seen a lot of family-oriented movies you should have undoubtedly seen “Cheaper by the Dozen” which starred Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. In the story the family with 12 kids had to relocate to a new neighborhood in the big city. The film devotes several minutes on the kids’ adjustment period then starts showing new and rather odd things. An executive-looking woman, in full outfit and high heeled pumps, was running across the street and keeping a firm hand on a leash”tied around a running child, presumably hers.nnIt was a very short yet arresting clip. It was hilarious yet borders on incredulous. The movie was meant to entertain people and that scene does just that, although I can’t help thinking about human rights activists and their take on this family-friendly film. Imagine tying leashes on your children! But I think everyone passed it off as a joke because in reality, parents use baby walkers and strollers and definitely not leashes.nnFunny that the clip had made me reflect a bit, that I am very thankful that I wasn’t born a dog or that my mother and certainly most mothers I know would never do such a thing. We have to thank the geniuses behind baby strollers for making parents’ and guardians’ lives easier. Baby stroller make babysitting a lot easier to do.nnBaby strollers have now become more helpful than we could have ever imagined. It enables parents to still become hands-on in caring for their children without sacrificing other important activities. They’ve been highly useful in keeping up with the demands of both parenting and the fast clock and multitasking trend of the modern world.nnFor instance, when parents want to go for a short jogging they can now bring along their young kids. There are baby strollers made specifically for this purpose. Jogging strollers will let parents and guardians to get their exercise and at the same time the kids will enjoy a fast ride in their strollers. In the case of dogs as jogging companions, unless if they are well trained to allow them to run about without leashes, two things are bound to happen. Either the jogger will lead the way or the dog will do it for him.nnBaby strollers are now usually made to be convertible to car seats. A convenient and useful feature, it allows parents to keep their kids more secure while in a running car. It is also more ideal for kids rather than using seat belts. They are very helpful especially if the driving guardian is also the one minding the child. Now when dogs are riding in a car, unless if they get car sick and be immobile, it might be quite a job to ensure that they stay in place because you can’t really strap them with seat belts, can you?
