Spring Festival Craft Show

On April 12, 2009 there will be a Spring Festival Craft Show that is sponsored by Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska. This community event will start from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds, Exhibit Building, Kearney. nnThe Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska hopes to welcome spring with their famous arts, craft, yard art, cuisine dishes, ceramics, home dcor, iron works, jewelry and many more. When the craft makers plan or design their arts and crafts to sell at the festival they do it will you in their minds.nnThe organizers have estimated that there will be about 2,000 people attending this craft show. There will be about 170 booths showcasing their different variety of crafts and arts. There is also a live band entertainment that will fit everyones taste. There are different cuisine dishes that can be bought from our variety of vendors. nnThis yearly event is sponsored by the Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska. The society is community action and non-profit organization that aims to help the community in changing their lives and making their place a better place to live in. The society was created in 1965 by being a part of Lyndon B. Johnson’s “War on Poverty”. nnTo provide a positive solution in solving the poverty problem in the community is the objective of the Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska. The Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska focuses their objective in helping the poor and disabled population of the community.nnFor the objective of the society to be successful the members follow seven principles. These principles are Opening Doors and Leading the Way, Turning Hope into Reality, Empathizing, Treating People with Respect, Saying Yes, Giving a Voice to the Poor, Mirroring the Diversity of our Communities. When the principles were created it was done in the passionate ideas of making the community a better place to live in.
