Learning to deal with rejection in the workplace

I am often asked how to deal with closed minded individuals and potential customers who are just nasty to deal with when approached. I’m not talking about someone just saying no. That is tough enough when it happens over and over and over again. But, I am talking about Nasty. Bottom line up front, it is just part of sales and is a complete mental game. nnHopefully you will have less of these angry occurrences rather than more. When you begin to promote your business and even if you have been at it for a while, it is a matter of time before you realize that not everyone is as excited about your opportunity as you are. It can wear you down. But never give up hope and believe in yourself.nnYou must drive on to the next contact, advertising medium and meeting. Persistence and the ability to hang in there until your successful is the only way you will ever build your business. When you get rejected just remember you were looking for a prospect when you found this person and you will find another. Not only that but a better qualified person. nnIf you are new to outside sales, internet marketing, MLM, or network marketing, you will face rejection. It is part of the business and you have to understand it is OK. It is ok because after you understand that most potential prospects have been approached before, failed in a similar opportunity or are just closed minded. Rejection is much easier. nnNo one likes to be rejected. But when you are, let it go and move on. You simply can not allow someone else’s opinion affect your business building power. It is your business and you are going to grow it despite being rejected by numerous prospects. You are your business, without you there is no business. nnThe best way to handle rejection is to use each event as a training session. Play each event back in your mind and decide what you could have done better. Which questions could you have answered differently? In time you will have an answer for everything because prospects usually ask the same questions. At least for the most part.nnBelieving in yourself is your best tool to use against rejection. Even if a prospect tells you that you are ****** for even trying something this crazy, you have to believe in yourself. You know it isn’t ****** because you are the one going to the bank week after week with you second income. At least you will be if your just starting. Fight the urge to let anyone else bring you down. nnStay the course entrepreneur. You can grow your business strong despite a few rejections. I operate a MyWorldPlus business and it has not been any different. However, I will grow my business because I am persistent. Be persistent be strong and let it go when you are rejected.
