Greek Drama & Greek Theatre Reflects the Mirror of the Society

Theatre is originated in Athens one of the famous city in Greece almost in the middle of fifth and sixth century. The dais or centre stage generally built at the bottom of the hill surrounded by other hills. The audience started to be seated from the bottom of the hill to in climbing upwards to the peak for clear visibility of the performance and advantage of excellent listening facilities from all corners of the dais. The dais was surrounded by some musicians except some vacant space for entering and exiting of the actor and actresses. The musicians played a special type of tune called prelude before entering the actor or actresses related to the theme of the drama. The prelude started a short while ago and repeated some times. This tune is the indication of the beginning of the drama and a special massage to the audience to take their seats. It is hard to believe that what a sophisticated technology they introduced in the era of sixth century. All these things as a whole called Greek Drama.rnrnToday
