Deliver Real Value

We are inundated with ads that tell we can make massive amounts of money just sitting on our couch doing nothing but clicking a few buttons and downing our bag of Cheetos. These messages trick so many people into thinking they can get rich without providing anything very valuable. Unfortunately these people get all pumped up to make 457,000 in their first week and never actually take the time to create or provide something valuable and instead create or provide pure drivel, yes that’s right, drivel.nnLets imagine for a moment that you do in fact go for the riches as fast as possible. Lets imagine you make some money right off the bat. Your success will be as long as your customers are satisfied with your product, which won’t be very long if you rush it. The worst part is that you’re name will be tarnished for a lot longer than just one failure. Your customers will remember you and your crappyness.nnThen how do you create value?nnTo create value you need to possess it first. If you’re not valuable then become valuable. How do you become valuable? Learn and gain skills. This is just obvious. The people who create the most valuable products have usually spent an enormous amount of time researching and implementing actionable items from their chosen field. nnJust take Bill Gates, Michael Dell, Tony Robbins and Tim Ferriss for example, and the list goes on. They all spent a lot of real time with their fields. And in the end they were able to create something very valuable to the world. Something their respective niches will pay handsomely for. Something they will act on. This is called Tangible value. nnTangible value is value that people will act on. You can tell if you’ve created substantial tangible value if people change themselves and their routines because of what you’ve produced and not merely an pat on the back or approving nod. Inspire your customers to take action by creating something so valuable there’s no question of if they will buy but when they’ll buy.nnSo to create tangible value you need to obtain tangible value for yourself. Pick a few interests and find out what the most popular books are on those subjects. Go check them out. See if there are any clubs surrounding those interests or hobbies and join them. Audit some classes at your local college. nnThe best and fastest way to absorb everything you’re learning is to start teaching it immediately. There are so many free and easy mediums for communicating now it wont be a problem to find an audience. Start writing a blog explaining concepts and demonstrating skills. Hold a local seminar, record it and post that on your blog as well . Create Mp3’s explaining your new knowledge. Write in your journal. Find some way to start teaching as soon as possible.nnCHOOSE A TOPIC NOWnnIs it a language? Maybe woodworking or metal work? Have you ever wished you knew more about auto mechanics? Have you always admired your friends scrapbooks and wished you could do what she has done? nnREMEMBER, the fastest was to really entrench your new skills or knowledge is to teach it.nnThere you have it. You now have something valuable to give to others. If you can teach how to gain to a skill or if you can teach a complex concept to your niche then you’ll start providing real value. All the while you’ll learning more and faster as long as you keep teaching. It becomes clear that legitimate E businesses will take longer to be profitable than is often advertised.nnSo often we see E businesses go live and then skyrocket to the top of the industry or even more common make enough money to make commoners like ourselves to nearly gag. What we almost never see is the incredibly investment of time money and focus that each individual a part of that company put forth. Just remember that starting an online business requires a ton of effort, focus and discipline but as you know the rewards are enormous :)nnSo get to it! If you already have a passion then start teaching! If you’re still looking for that passion choose something, dive in and start teaching what you learn! Please excuse all the exclamation points.
