Training With Six Sigma

By: Craig Calvin

Six Sigma has an endless supply of training available for companies that utilize the strategy. Each training is geared towards the various Six Sigma belt certification courses.
Six Sigma is a tier system. First you have the white belts, non Sigma trained workers who play a supportive role in projects. White belts rely on the Yellow Belts, who are next in the tier, for information in the project. Yellow belts refer to Green Belts, who lead the teams and projects, and the Green Belts refer to a designated Black Belt. At the very top of the tier you have the Master Black Belts, which is who the Black Belts refer to with any questions.
Master Black Belt training is a must for high-level managers and supervisors, and potentially some executives. These individuals are required to train and coach lesser Black Belts and Green Belt staff. They function on the program level, developing key metrics and establishing strategic direction. Master Black Belt certified employees act as the Six Sigma backbone of the organization, providing internal consultant services for the company.
Black Belts training is also an extensive task. The trying provides a Black Belt with the knowledge needed to successful direct projects and coach the Green Belts and there teams.
Although the price of these trainings seem a little high, to some, the profit increase is much higher. One certified Black Belt, on average, increases business profit by $500,000 per year. With more then one Certified Black Belt in your company theses figured will be enormous.
Green Belt certification programs are less extensive then the Black Belt training, and are created for high level, non-management employees that will closely assist Black Belts. These training sessions are generally brief and to the point.
Business executives ensure that the Six Sigma program is smoothly integrated into the company's culture and vision.
