iBiza is known as a party island. The clubs are centred around two towns iBiza Town and Sant Antoni. The clubs of iBiza are at the very heart of world dance music. iBiza clubbing normally starts in June with the opening parties of Space and DC10 and the island comes to a sudden halt for the the closing parties which are usually held on the first weekend of October.

Though primarily known for its party scene, large portions of the island are registered as U.N. World Heritage Sites, Because of its rustic beauty,it's often used for photographic and film shoots. The island's government is trying to encourage a more cultured and quieter tourism scene, passing rules including the closing of all nightclubs by 6am at the latest, and requiring all new hotels to be 5-star.

Despite the islands great scenery when the clubs are closed iBiza is empty. If you visit off season you'll fine the weather unpredictable and the streets caf's and bars deserted.

Es Vedra it's claimed is the third most magnetic place on Earth after the North Pole and the Bermuda Triangle. It's a huge mountain shaped rock rising out of the sea. iBiza sailers refuse to go near it for superstitious reasons.
