No doubt, communication plays a very important part in every aspect of life, but it is especially important at work. Non-verbal communication is important:

Even though several studies place the significance of non-verbal communication equal to or exceeding that of verbal communication, it persists to be misunderstood & undervalued. This sentence doesn’t make sense.

and non-verbal communication agrees (what do you mean? I think you mean synchronize, the message you’re communicating will be better comprehended & digested by your audience.

Active listening also means listening to all senses and also and offering complete attention to the speaker. It’s also essential that the ‘active listener’ is also ‘seen’ to be listening – or else the speaker may bring to a close that what they’re talking about is boring to the listeners.

It is easy to convey interest to the speaker by employing both verbal & nonverbal messages like maintaining eye-contact, nodding head & smiling, agreeing by saying ‘Yes’ or simply ‘hmm’ to motivate them to carry on. By offering this ‘feedback’ the individual speaking will generally feel more at ease and thus converse more openly and honestly.

Public speaking:

Public speaking can be with one person or a group of hundred. It might be with customers, bankers, staff or community groups. Mastering the art of public speaking, certainly help you converse vital message inside & outside your organization.

By practice public speaking, you actually become skilled at how to set up a message for a different type of audience. For instance, you’d plan a diverse speech for a fundraising dinner than you’d for a parent-teacher meeting.
