If you are not familiar with press releases or the idea of online press release distribution, don't despair. It is so simple to use and is guaranteed to improve the rankings of any website.
The purpose of a press release is to communicate news or information to members of the news. Often times companies send out press releases to inform the media of a new product, service, or important change within their company. For nearly a decade, press releases are distributed via email or posted online. There are even online services that manage the posting and distribution process for you.
Press releases are sent by individuals, corporations, and government agencies. The purpose of which is to announce a new product, service, or event. The PR industry has used press releases as a way to filter the news and focus on what is most relevant. Not only has it served as an efficient way to distribute the news, but an effective way to receive it.
A press release in not all that complicated to develop. Most press releases include the date of the release, headline, news, and a brief company description or bio. Online releases include this information with a link back to the company's website or blog.

When I'm looking to build a significant number of links to any of my website in a hurry, I always lean on press releases. To get started, look for a free press release distribution service via Google or Yahoo! There are many of these sites out there that do not charge and can meet your needs.
I am comfortable with fees as long as I'm seeing the value. Some sites charge $300 for a release service but many more charge only a few dollars. The reality is that it doesn't take much to put your SEO efforts into over drive using press release services. Do some research online and start sending out those releases. You will be pleasantly surprised by the results you get.
