Christmas is a exciting time,for a family.
Its going to be filled with giving presents and simply being together as a family. You want to be able to enjoy the time spent with family and friends and not spend valuable family time worrying about mobility issues.
If you have become less able in recent years, or if you are caregiving for someone who has, it is understandable that you may not have the same holiday cheer you once had. You may find going to visit family and friends a chore as you or your care recipient struggle to climb up their staircase. You may feel like you will be a burden if you or your loved one cannot move freely around their home. You do not want your family to have to work their Christmas plans around any lack of mobility so you may suggest you will stay at home.
What most people do not realise is that if you can rent a stairlift for the holidays! A mobility lift is the perfect answer to all your mobility needs during the busy Christmas period. Perhaps your children live far away and you would like to stay with them before Christmas until the New Year.
If you would like the independence and freedom to journey throughout their home unaided, a stairlift can be rented for however long you wish. Most people believe that stair lifts need to be permanent features in the home, but this is not the case. Rental plans have become a viable option for those seeking a short term solution or those who simply cannot afford one outright payment.
With renting, you simply pay a small deposit and then pay a small amount per week. There are no drawbacks to renting mobility equipment as you can have any model installed (straight or curved) and, in many cases, you can have the latest models fitted.
Additionally, do not worry about rental models being a ‘less safe’ option. All equipment from reputable manufacturers is subject to rigorous safety testing to ensure you feel safe and secure.
Another feature of rental equipment which will make you feel reassured is the fact that most equipment is covered by a life time warranty (depending on manufacturer) so, unlike with buying a stairlift, this warranty will exist for the same time you rent the equipment. There would be nothing worse than your rental lift breaking down just before New Year.and thinking of stairlifts repairs, Rest assured that a trained specialist will be on call to fix your equipment if it did break down (which is unlikely as all equipment is tested before being rented to customers) and it will be up and working in time for you to enjoy the festivities.
