Coffee isn’t just to enjoy in the morning. Drinking a cup of coffee to wake up in the morning or as a part of a leisurely breakfast is a good way to get started in the morning, but coffee doesn’t need to be confined to mornings, though. Coffee can also be enjoyed after dinner or with a sweet desert with lunch or dinner. In Italy, coffee is an essential part of the Italian lifestyle and it can be seen enjoyed throughout the day. You probably already thought this thanks to the numerous commercials and movie scenes that show people sitting on a terrace in Italy sipping a cup of coffee. While this marketing may be a bit of an exaggeration, this portrayal of Italian life does have some basis in reality. If you ever get the chance to take a stroll down the streets of a major Italian city, you will see a lot of people drinking coffee while reading the newspaper.

Coffee is not native to Italy but there are some Italian coffees have become recognized internationally, even though the coffee beans themselves don’t come from Italy. The coffee beans are grown elsewhere in the world because they need a warm, humid climate that isn’t found in Italy. Instead, coffee beans are grown in the following areas:

• Along the equator (Africa, North America, South American, and Asia).
• Guatemala
• Colombia
• Brazil (produces the most Arabica beans)
• India and Vietnam (produces most of the Robusta beans)

Purchasing coffee beans for Italian coffee, use to be difficult and expensive. For those who want to brew Italian coffee at home but don’t live in Italy, it can be challenging to find the right coffee beans, but worth the effort. Buying coffee beans for Italian coffee has become a bit easier today though thanks to the Internet, specialty shops, and local coffee shops. To ensure that you will get a fresh cup of coffee every time that you make it, you should only order/buy small quantities of coffee beans at a time. When you get the coffee beans home or the coffee beans are delivered, keep them stored in an airtight container in a cool part of your kitchen. Having coffee beans delivered in the summer may not be a good idea because the beans may sit in hot trucks before being delivered.

How Italian coffee stand out from other coffees:

It is the way the coffee bean is roasted that gives Italian coffee its unique flavor. It starts with the raw beans that must be shipped in and then it is up to the barista to be able to put their skills to work to come up with the superior coffees that are enjoyed throughout Italy. There are numerous coffee outlets throughout Italy that roast and blend Italian coffee. It is these coffees that people have come to associate with Italy and Italian food.

A lot of Italian coffee enthusiasts will brew their own coffee at home. It can be costly to get the same fancy coffee brewing equipment that is commonly seen in the coffee bars and coffee shops. Even for those who can afford a commercial coffee machine and have room for it, learning how to operate it correctly so that you will get a perfect cup of coffee may take a lot of time. However, if you don’t have to spend a lot of money and time just to get a really good cup of coffee at home. You can purchase a high quality coffee maker that is actually designed for home use. These coffee machines are usually pretty easy to use and they will allow you to get the most flavor from the coffee beans that you purchase without requiring you to be highly skilled or spending a lot of money.
