Debates arise between groups when it comes to feeding dogs. One group says what you should consider for your dogs are the commercialized dog food, since they are manufactured by experts and are scientifically researched. However, on the other side is a group telling that, natural dog food is still the best since it replicates our own food.

Many believe that natural dog food is worth it. It contains important ingredients which contain huge amount of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants which are included in the legumes, vegetables, and fruit in your dog’s diet. But, to some, they say it is not worth it because to them it can take a lot of their time, especially when he has other errands to do. Buying, washing, and cooking the dog food are just additional tasks. But, some suggest that to address this kind of problem, simply do the preparation over the weekend, so it will not hinder the owner’s schedule.

There are actually a lot of stories telling that natural dog food truly lengthens the life span of the dog. Some dogs that normally reach nine years of age can even lengthen to the age of 15. People would connect it to the natural dog food their dogs are eating. In preparing the dog’s food, there are things you need to take into consideration. It is best to choose as much as possible fresh organic ingredients. These can produce a good and healthy meal for your dog. Even the food comes in packs, it is still important to wash the food very well. Soak it in clean water for a few minutes and rinse it afterwards. What’s more, it can enhance the appearance of the dog food.

It is also a necessity to include all the food groups in a meal. The carbohydrates, proteins, and fats should be of a good balance. It would take time to actually know how much your dog can eat and what natural dog food it likes the most. It is just a matter of experimenting to give your dog the best food to eat.

Some foods, when uncooked, are dangerous to dog’s health. So, it is advised to cook all meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs. You should also remove the bones in meat, as they are hard to digest. You should serve only clean water to your dog. You should regularly change his water at least once a day. Your dog can drink 1-2 liters of water in a day, so make sure to provide him the enough water to drink. Although your dogs can survive drinking the tap water, it is also recommended (if you can afford) to give him mineral water. It is also important to look for an open-minded and holistic veterinarian, since some vets are biased in prescribing the commercial dog food to dogs and fail to consider the health benefits that dogs can get when eating natural dog food.

With natural dog food, your dog will definitely live a lot longer.
