Visit your gynecologist: This will put you in safe hands and provide you with firsthand information as to how to take care of yourself and your growing baby.

Stop smoking and ingesting alcohol and caffeine: Studies have shown these products to have detrimental effects on babies. In the best interest of the baby, it is advisable to avoid using the mentioned products.

Get into the mode of regular exercise: If you have been slacking off your visit to the gym, now is probably the best time to renew your membership and get working out at the gym. Though not very exhausting exercise, it is best to get some form of exercise so that it will make the process of delivery easier for you.

Review your medical insurance: Pregnancy will probably be one of the most expensive bills accounted for in your medical insurance. So, once you know that you are pregnant, evaluate your insurance to make sure you are under the best coverage you can afford.

Plan your finances: Take a hold of your finances and save up to nurture a new addition to the family. It is a good idea to save some money every month to take care of the expenses of the baby once it arrives.

Apart from these you can also do things like shopping for yourself and baby items and coming up with names for the baby. Also, do note that you should not consider abortion unless and until you are sure about it. Plus, abortion should never be done after the first trimester as it is only in the first trimester that the baby isnít fully formed. And also, carrying out an abortion after the first trimester can be quite risky as well and needs to be avoided at all costs.
