This inequality was challenged by Rosa Parks who refused to give up her seat to a white. This incident took place in Montgomery, Albama in 1955. And, it was the beginning of the civil rights movement which brought a drastic change in the lives of blacks in United States. Many films were produced on this particular incident.

Many African American Movies were produced that narrated the experiences of black folks living in the United Kingdom. These movies chronicled the pain and heat of discrimination that blacks have suffered for a very long time. One such movie was Roots that garnered appreciation from all walks of life. This movie was one of its first kinds of miniseries that recorded highest-rated points in the history of television network. This movie went on to win a few Peabody Wards and Golden Globes along with nine Emmy awards to its kitty.

However, present day movies are more fun to watch. They are beyond the realms of pain and discrimination. Furthermore, a good number of blacks are working.
