Anway Critical Review

By: Daniel Lucas

One of the oldest Multi Level Marketing companies in existence, Anway has more than three million Independent Business Owners and produced more than eight billion dollars in sales for the year 2008. Anyway Corporation began in 1959 as part of the Alticor group of companies, and has been selling household items, including skin care and cosmetic products, as well as water purifiers and laundry systems. In 1999, Anway joined an additional company within the Alticor Group called Quixtar, and the Anway Network Marketing Program was born, as well as the term Multi Level Marketing. This review provides people an opportunity to determine whether Anway is the proper opportunity for them.

The first, though not necessarily most important, criteria to consider includes the products. Are the products competitive compared to other MLM companies and non-MLM products? Are the products worthwhile to you, the prospective distributor? Would you own the products without considering the business opportunity? Can you recommend the products to anyone you know? If the answer is affirmative to all of these questions, then that is one criteria the company fulfills. Anway provides exclusive brands including Nutrilite, Artistry, Ribbon, and More. Their exclusive brands are supported by extensive research, more than 516 patents, and a 180-day money-back satisfaction guarantee. It is no doubt that the products must be pleasing to some people in order for distributors to sell eight billion dollars in a year.

The second criterion to think about is the compensation plan. The average monthly gross income from actively participating Independent Business Owners was $115 based on the most recent third party survey. In 2006, Anway distributors earned more than $370 million in bonuses and incentives on $1.12 billion in sales. Monthly performance bonuses range from 3% to 25% of business volume depending on the distributor's monthly productivity. Each independent representative must sell at least 70% of their monthly stock purchases to qualify for bonus payments. Anway's retail profit margins on health, beauty, and home care products average about 29% when sold at Suggested Retail price. Distributors are given the freedom to determine the price point for product sales to customers. Anway's compensation plan is good, though some more recent companies provide more lucrative passive income compensation plans.

An additional criterion to think about when analyzing a network marketing opportunity is support and training. Every MLM opportunity provides an upline who mentors his personal recruits, but how does the company offer the resources to new representatives, and are they sufficient to achieve the results desired? Anway provides free and easy to use online, video, and instructor-led training. Is it enough training to launch a prosperous business? Judging from the results that most independent business owners are getting, not likely. However, Anway does provide some free and easily accessible training, which is better than some companies.

Considering all the pros and cons, would it be beneficial for you to choose a business with Anway? It is certainly a wonderful opportunity, but is it the right one for you? How will you distinguish yourself from the great number of people who are experiencing minimal success? Will mere hard work and discipline take you to the top? I know from experience that hard work and discipline are absolutely necessary to success, but you need an additional ingredient: specialized value to present the marketplace that is rare to find. Of course there are many ingredients, and it will take knowledge of success ingredients and perseverance to master them. What may be most important is that you find a person in Anway or another MLM company who will show you the way to earn an income that surpasses the highest paid CEOs in corporate America. Choose a company that is growing rapidly with a fantastic product, compensation plan, and training, then leach onto someone who can show you the way to the top. It is up to the prospective independent business owner to determine whether or not Anway is the right company to join.
