All About Testing of Sony Xperia T

It is the same for navigation between applications. These performance problems disappear when you remove most of the widgets on the home screen. Note however that these widgets can operate very satisfactorily, as long as there is not too much. We believe in particular widget "gallery", which is very pleasant to use

We can only conclude that widgets Sony are not very well optimized - a widget or interface element should not normally pose no problem to a configuration of the first order as it. Apart from this defect, the whole works. Android is as smooth as usual (as always when paired with Qualcomm S4), even at multi-tasking.

For integrated storage, there is only one option available: 16 GB This seems low for a device that will feature, and we would have preferred to see 32GB Especially if we consider that the main qualities device (video viewing, high resolution pictures, processor, Play Now, etc.) are storage-hungry.

At least the Sony Xperia T has a MicroSD slot up to 32GB, so you can add a lot of memory. Connectivity is supported with Wi-Fi, WI-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, DLNA, MicroUSB, Bluetooth, TV and MHL 3.5 mm jack. The device also acts as a remote control for Sony TVs. Finally, the NFC is present and works with Android Beam and Sony SmartTags (via SmartTags application).

As we mentioned earlier, the Sony Xperia T works with Android platform from Google, specifically version Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), coupled with its own user interface (a revamped version of the old Timescale interface). Thematically, the new Sony interface is very similar to what we saw with Timescale - many menus gray, minimalist white icons and text, and dark backgrounds with swirls of color. It is less intrusive and more customizable than the previous version. To give you an idea, it is comparable to the interface Sense 4.1 from HTC

Use multitasking is a little different from other Android devices, because you have a carousel of thumbnail icons to the right of your screen. You also have an additional bar at the bottom of the screen, with shortcuts to applications called "practices" (calculator, stopwatch, and notepad and voice recorder). The application drawer has undergone some changes, and now you can edit its contents to a certain point. A button allows you to uninstall some non-essential elements. You can also choose to sort applications alphabetically or by frequency of use. All the good things of Android Ice Cream Sandwich are present, but in general the juxtaposition of the interface Sony spoils a bit the user experience.

With Sony, especially on a high end camera, you know beforehand that imaging will be good. Sony has indeed been one of the first manufacturers to market to the general public backlit sensors 5BSI), with its range Exmor R CMOS. The primary camera is a Sony Xperia T 13-megapixel resolution with 4128 x 3096 pixels, LED flash and af/2.4 opening + video light. Features include autofocus, touch focus, image stabilization and digital video, face detection and smile, panorama mode, geo-tagging, digital zoom, self-timer and 1080p HD video capture. A secondary camera (front) 1.3 megapixel allows video calling.
