During the fermentation process, the leaves slowly change colour from green to reddish-brown and gain their characteristic full-bodied flavour. In taste, the tea has a unique fruity flavour with a hint of peach. Apart from the medicinal properties of black tea, it also retains many skin-healing properties. Regular drinking of black tea is known to hydrate the body, which in turn leaves your skin moisturized. Seeped tea bags can make for an effective eye pack. Simply freeze the tea bag and apply it on your eyes to reduce puffiness and dark circles.

Oolong Tea

Oolong tea are semi-fermented, with their taste and flavour resembling somewhere between green and white tea. The leaves are plucked and spread under direct sun light to wither; once the leaf becomes soft, it is then placed in a bamboo basket. The basket is shaken vigorously to bruise the edges of the leaves, after which it is placed out again to dry. The process is repeated many times, until the leaves have partially oxidized and turned reddish in hue. The tea when brewed has a deep flowery fragrance with a sweet taste. Regular drinking of oolong tea is known to treat diabetes, cholesterol and improves digestion.
