With the flagrant use of prescription drugs these days the number of those who are addicted to benzodiazepines, also known as, Benzos or BZD, has risen significantly. Benzodiazepine is classified as a psychoactive drug. What Is Being Done?
The government is trying as hard as it can to stem the epidemic of prescription drug abuse. However, the government can only do so much. It is incumbent on doctors to stop prescribing these pain killers with such reckless abandon. It is also important to continue to educate individuals about the dangers associated with abusing prescription drugs. These drugs should only be taken under the strict supervision of a medical professional.
