For the most part, because credit cards can save us a lot of time, hassles, and in some cases, money. The main key to being a responsible card holder is to never over extend your-self and to make sure you use the credit card responsibly. In the US, at least eighty% of house-holds have at least one form of credit card, while most families may have multiple. There can be many advantages of having and using your credit cards, provided that they are used in responsible way.

Credit Cards may be able to save you a good deal of time in many ways. For one example, thanks to your credit cards, you donít have to worry about carrying checks and cash, or having to make it to the bank before it closes. Furthermore, thanks to the World Wide Web, credit cards can be used on the internet to shop for what you need or to purchase gifts for that special someone. This means you can beat the rush at the department store during Christmas and if you are really limited on time, you wonít need to drive across town and search all over the store, or even wait in line. Credit cards just have made life much easier in a lot of aspects.

In todayís times, it is very difficult to even get a hotel reservation, car-rental, airline tickets, or any other form of travel arrangements with out the use of a credit card. They may also be used as a form of identification in different situations. As you can plainly see, credit cards can be a big help in many ways. Also they may be able save you money. With a credit card, essentially you are protecting your cash, this is true especially with bank debit cards that are some what like a regular credit card.

You donít run the risk of losing your money, say for instance if the card is stolen, thieves canít generally use it because it requires identification and most companies provide fraud protection. If you purchase something that arrives damaged, not what you ordered, or change your mind, most cards provide protection against these very things, and you can usually return the items for a refund. Plus, many cards protect you from identity theft. If someone were to steal your card and attempt to use it, you usually wonít be held responsible for the purchases.

Of the several ways credit cards make life a little easier, itís no wonder why most Americans have at least one card in their wallet.
