Weight Loss-The Best Way To Get It

The overall weight of a proportion of Western countries citizens may be rising significantly but the pursuit of health and fitness products and programs seems to be following suit. This may be because we are bombarded with images of men and women who are attractive and obviously very fit, that make us feel a little inadequate. Consequently gyms, health spas, fitness clubs and equipment manufacturers are all doing very well with what everyone hopes is not just another fashion.
It is not as if you can get away from it as the advertising for diet and fitness equipment is also on the television as well. But on the flip side of that coin is the importance of heating healthily and maintaining a weight to suit our size and shape. Our diet and our fitness are two halves of the same coin and need to be worked together as it is the food we consume that will determine how quickly we can repair cells and tired parts of our body. What does not help the average person is what diet-fitness regime to follow as both seem to make sense; there is the one that says eat foods with high carbohydrate levels and the other which says you need to eat foods with a high fat content which appears to contradict everything we are told about dieting.
What makes this confusing for the amateur is that one side says that you are better of eating foods high in fat when you exercise and the others state you need to eat foods that are a good source of carbohydrates. Those followers of eating foods with high carbohydrate content believe these are best owing to the amount of energy that can be stored in the muscles ready for instant release.
The other camp believe that because fat is a higher source of calories an it metabolizes in a fraction of the time it takes carbohydrates, then these are the foodstuffs we should consume before exercise. The problem is deciding on which diet to follow but there is at least one thing experts agree on and that is you cannot follow both at the same time without gaining weight.
The main factor to consider is that if you are just following a diet and fitness lifestyle then the last thing you want is too add extra pounds of unwanted fat. Research shows that sustainable loss of weight can only be achieved on a diet which suits the individual food preferences, lifestyle and medical profile.
Just losing weight is not the issue as many overweight individuals manage to do this but if the diet does not suit them they pile it all back on, so the trick is to organize a diet that exactly fits your needs and maintain a moderation to what you eat. Although it still means that that essential nutrients and proteins for example that keep the body and mind healthy should be part of that diet; amounts of which are broadly publicized by health organizations.
