Rajaji Nationwide Park - Positioned in the Pauri and Garhwal district of Uttaranchal, Rajaji National Park is famous all over the nation for its elephants. Sprawling on an space of 820 sq kms, the nationwide park boasts of animals like sloth bears, jackals, hyenas and barking deers amongst many others. Nanda Devi Nationwide Park - Eloquent all around the world for its snow leopards, Nanda devi National Park enjoys the privilege of being a UNESCO World Heritage website and gives spectacular views of the mountains and valleys. Nanda Devi Nationwide Park consists of 17 rare floral species and 312 abnormal ones. Animals that one can sight in this park contains Himalayan Tahr, Serow, Goral, Himalayan Black Bear, Brown Bear, Leopard, Himalayan Musk Deer, and Brown Beer. A pleasant 23 kms lengthy trek needs to be undertaken with a view to attain this park. The park is located on the second highest peak in India and is 23 kms from Joshimath.
