There is no doubt that the world is getting increasingly competitive nowadays. Therefore it's essential for you to find ways to make yourself different.
To do that, one thing you can do is finding high-quality ideas. It allows you to be innovative in whatever products or services you offer. It also makes you more valuable for your employer or clients.
But of course, finding good ideas is not easy. Here are some tips to do that:
1. Clearly define what the problem is
The first thing you need to do is defining the problem clearly. Otherwise, you may spend a lot of time without getting what you want.
So, before anything else, define the problem you want to solve. What are the end results you desire?
2. Aim for quantity of ideas
To achieve your goal of getting good ideas, you should ensure that you have many ideas to choose from. The more you have the better. Make every member in your team actively contribute ideas.
You can only make everyone active if the situation is supportive. Ensure that you and other members of the team appreciate every contribution.
If you have that atmosphere in your team, everyone will gladly contribute their ideas. They know their teammates appreciates whatever contribution they make.
3. Filter out irrelevant ideas
What you should do next is selecting only the relevant ideas. You should assess whether or not an idea can solve your problem well.
The better it can solve the problem, the higher its value is. Filter out those that you don't think can solve the problem effectively and efficiently.
After you complete this process, you should get the ideas that has the ability to solve the problem well.
4. Find the best ideas
Now evaluate the few ideas that are left one more time. Find the best ones out of them. These are the ideas that can solve the problem in the most efficient way.
