During the last few years, there has been a major increase of the usage of exercise balls among those who are serious about working out. The growth in popularity is due to the different methods that one can use in order to gain great, healthy benefits to achieve fitness. They are also very inexpensive and simply easy to use.
Before buying a ball, it is important that you completely make sure that the ball matches your height. I?m pretty sure you would never want to waste money on a piece of equipment that is too big or too small for you. In order to test and see if it correctly matches your height, just sit on the ball. If your hips are a bit higher than your knees or they are level, then you?ve found the perfect size.
If you are looking for an exercise ball that but aren?t too sure for trying it out for some reason, here are a few measurements: a ball that is 55cm is ideal for those who are between 4?11? and 5?4?; a 65 cm ball is best for those who are between 5?5? and 5?11?; and a 75cm ball is best for those who are between 6?0? and 6?7?.
There shouldn?t be any problems finding an exercise ball if you are obese or overweight. There are plenty of balls that can hold over 500 pounds and most balls can be found in your regular department stores or sporting goods places. There are wider selections to be found online.
Exercise balls are very versatile and allow your body to contract while in use because of it being an unbalanced form of equipment. Performing a simple exercise on the ball will only increase its intensity. Exercises such as weightlifting, flexibility exercises, and abdominal exercises are great for working out. Just sitting around on the ball can be a challenge itself. Have fun!
