Stardust's New and Totally Organic, Natural Toiletries Range 'Frida' Launching June 2009

By: Geraldine Bedford

Stardust's new and totally organic, natural toiletries range 'Frida' which launches June 2009, has been approved by the Vegan Society as an animal-testing-free cosmetics brand under the BUAV's internationally recognised Humane Cosmetics Standard (HCS). Frida's entire product range is approved under the scheme after an extensive independent audit process, guaranteeing that no animal testing has occurred in any part of the product or its ingredients.

Beauty is truth, truth is beauty. "We took this philosophy and decided to create a stripped down organic and essentially honest range" says Geraldine Bedford, director and founder of Frida. "We believe that Frida should be kind to your skin without all the harsh additives and preservatives found in most everyday toiletries - our products are kind to your skin exactly as Mother Nature intended". Developed from naturally derived sources, the range has been approved by the Vegan Society and is BUAV certified as not tested on animals, enabling consumers to easily identify and feel good about purchasing cruelty free products. Pampering and indulgence has never been so conscientious!

Seventy nine per cent of UK shoppers said they would swap to a brand that was not animal tested if they discovered that their existing brand was tested on animals, in a survey carried out by Opinion Research Business for the BUAV. BUAV chief executive Michelle Thew said: "We applaud Frida for taking this step to prove its cruelty-free retailer status. The BUAV's Bunny Logo approval is the absolute gold standard in cruelty-free products and I'm delighted Frida has taken this step to reassure its customers. It sends out a clear message that today's ethically aware consumers will only trust official approval."

This empowering, quirky range is appealing in its traditional, pharmaceutical style and recyclable packaging. The spellbinding artwork is both exotic and elemental, inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead; these designs create a grandeur feeling of natural femininity and earthiness.

The Soap range comprises of two scents Orange and Hemp. Both refresh, rejuvenate and moisturise the skin whilst ensuring a deep cleansing experience.
For hair, the ultimate reward is injecting a fusion of naturally restoring and replenishing benefits back into your hair. Jojoba shampoo contains Panthenol (Vitamin B5) which coats hair from root to tip, whilst the seaweed (rich in beneficial minerals) removes any free radicals. Jojoba conditioner 'coats' the hair shaft with the natural ingredients, allowing the aromatherapy oils to leave hair feeling nurtured.

The skincare range carefully developed to pamper and protect, is made up of Geranium and Lavender. All skincare ingredients feature Vitamins C and E to help reinforce skin's natural cellular repair and renewal process, leaving your skin 'fed' with goodness for a younger, more radiant feel.

Hubble and bubble without the toil and trouble using the Frida Hemp and Meadow Foam bubble bath. Let this intoxicating scent add that WOW factor to your bath whilst the hemp, high in Omega oils, deeply moisturises skin preventing moisture loss for a truly luxurious and beneficial soak.

For Frida it's the beauty that lies deep within, urging you to connect with your inner goddess that resides in the sensuous fusions of natural and organic ingredients. Let Frida (inspired by the cultural artist Frida Kahlo) take you on a tranquil journey of mystery and abundance of the natural world and create absolute unity.
