Search Engine Ranking Optimization

By: Mel Joelle

In order to get ranked highly in the search engines you must first have a highly targeted keyword that is relative to your topic. Once you have chosen a keyword that fits your topic you need to build a website or blog based on that keyword. In order to achieve a high rank quickly you need to attack that keyword as much as you can in your website. This means adding it to the domain name, post titles, content, and image names. Adding your selected keywords three times for every five hundred words is the most appropriate method for fitting your keywords into your content.

Adding header tags and bold font to your keywords on every few pages will also boost your ranking in the search engines very quickly. The best approach to obtaining a high ranking in any search engine is having fresh and unique content that is updated on a regular basis. Search engines will always reward the website with the most unique and relevant content with a higher ranking than it’s competitors. Adding the word “picture” or “image” to any of your images will help boost traffic for that specific image.

Ranking highly in the search engines also depends on the quality of links being pointed towards your website. When you are doing links back to your website or blog it is important to remember that quality is more important than quantity. You want to always use your keywords as the anchor text for your links and make sure that you are building your backlinks on relevant websites. Having a sitemap on your website will make it much easier for the search engine spiders to crawl your website and scan your content.

A great way to improve ranking in search engines is to improve the load speed of your website. You can do so by making sure that all of the images on your website are compressed to the smallest size possible. Make sure to stick to PNG and JPEG format images and to stay away from GIF and BMP. Search engine spiders want to crawl your website for it’s content and not hard code so it is very important to limit how much code you use in your website.

Exchange links with other website owners that own websites in the same niche as you for more link juice and relevant traffic. When adding any video to your website it is essential to make sure that the video is surrounded by keyword rich text. Set up a Google Analytics account for your website to monitor your traffic, bounce rates, and crawl errors. Make sure you have different methods of letting your website go viral such as a social media button or a sharing option. Letting people pass your website around for you to other people who are interested in what you have to say is one of the best ways to obtain targeted traffic. Keep Javascript in the head of your website to a minimum and remove any unused CSS code to make it easier for your website to crawl by search engine spiders.
