Men who workout at least 30 minutes a day, at a moderate to high intensity level were half as certain to get cancer according to new research, the first of its kind to have a look at cancer mortality and power of exercise.

The researchers found that as the intensity levels of the exercise increased, the risk of cancer death went down.
Actually, an increase of 1.2 metabolic units of oxygen consumption was related to a decreased risk of cancer death, especially in lung and gastrointestinal cancers, even after all of the factors were accounted for in the study.

- Activity - those who are physically active, typically at least half an hour a day, have a lower risk of some cancers than those that are not active.
- Obesity - is a risk factor for several cancers, while losing the additional weight can cut back your chance of these same cancers. Even a little weight reduction helps.
The perils of cancer are real and hard to ignore... However, the excellent news brought to us from this latest research is if a person is active - even tolerably so - he has already embraced a habit that helps stop cancer and enjoy many healthy years.
