Power4Home - What Are Sources of Clean Energy

By: Evans D. Smith

Using natural and clean sources of energy for providing heat and electricity in the homes is becoming increasingly popular. It decreases the burden on existing dependency on fossil fuel, which contributes to the global warming to a large extent. Using fossil fuel adds to the pollution, and dramatic climate changes. Using replaceable natural resources for generating power can help save the earth from devastation if we take the right action, and preserve the natural resources. Switching to the renewable and clean energy resources is a huge step forward to fight against the global temperature rises and global warming.
Various Clean Energy Sources
When it comes to clean sources of energy, tapping the wind power is a great option. The electricity is generated by spinning the wheels, and it can be used for many applications. As per statistical data, if all of the geothermal energy under US till the depth of 2 miles might be removed, it could meet the power demands of US for the next 30,000 years. However, tapping that much clean energy is not feasible as there are plenty of business and technological impediments, but even if we can draw five pc for this wealth, it can meet the wants of 250m families per year. Wind power is caused due to uneven heating of surface of the earth by sun. Today, wind power is being principally used for generating electricity, and this is done by tapping the kinetic energy of wind.
Leading scientists all over the world are urging ECU and its member states to make the multi-million Euro dollar commitment for solar driven environmentally clean energy production. By 2050, the total yearly world consumption of energy is anticipated to double, and fossil fuel reserves are already running out. Use of traditional fuels also produce dangerous levels of CO2, leading to global temperature rises. Sun is a source of unlimited clean energy, but the issue lies in harnessing it. The sole way to be successful is mimicking the natural processes like photosynthesis that can help in production of fuels on the commercial scale.
Low impact hydro power is also a big source of replaceable clean energy that incorporates use of turbines. The clean energy is formed in rivers and streams that produce enough force to spin the turbines. There is no need to dam a river up, and the hydro power sources operate with free-flowing river so that effect on the environment is minimized.
Clean energy technology may not be straightforward to install and get operational, but these green sources of energy are the only way to switch our planet for good. Though the clean energy systems cost more, the advantages offered to the ecosystem make them definitely worth the cost.
