Granted that living in a three bedroom house is pleasantly comfortable, but the kids are growing up, and before long they’d need their own rooms – plus a lot more space to move about. In other words, it’s high time to renovate your house.
When you got married all you wanted was to live a simple life. Thankfully your dashing husband agreed. While both of you had a stable job and earned a respectable income, it wouldn’t by any stretch of the imagination afford a luxurious lifestyle. A modest house, car payment, monthly utilities, occasional treats. That’s about it, but you had no cause for complaints. You had everything you needed, after all, and you considered yourself immensely blessed to be able to find someone to spend the rest of your life with, and to share simple joys with her. You didn’t anything beyond that.
And then you had children, and it seemed as though everything changed in the blink of an eye. Sounds like a well worn cliché, and you usually tend to avoid sounding so sappy, but it’s nothing less than the truth. Your finances went from being able to do quite well – in the simple context of things, of course – to stretching precariously just to make both ends meet. There’s an endless supply of diapers and formula milk to buy, regular visits to the paediatrician even if there’s nothing wrong, and a long list of things for the nursery, from pillow and blankets to toys and even more toys.
Having a baby is definitely not a walk in the park; having three kids is like juggling a circus act. With your little ones aged 9, 5, and 2, you redefined time management and multi-tasking in a way you never even thought before. Arriving at home from a long day at work, you’d fix a quick dinner while helping your eldest son with his homework. After dinner, you would help your mischievous five-year-old little prince to his bath, and then you’d drop by your adorable daughter’s room to read her a bedtime story.
Only after all the children are asleep will you have a few quiet moments with your husband – more often than not over a round of dishes. Such is family life, at least yours, and though it’s a challenge, it’s also a blessing you wouldn’t trade for anything else.
Now, while simplicity has always been incorporated into your way of life, you also have more than a fair share of sensibility in your genes, and the matter concerning the size of your house is something that merits thought. Granted that living in a three bedroom house is pleasantly comfortable, but the kids are growing up, and before long they’d need their own rooms – plus a lot more space to move about. In other words, it’s high time to renovate your house.
You can start with a good room addition in Burnaby and Langley garage addition. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but it does have to be well planned; otherwise you’d be stuck with a renovation project that has to be done all over again – and of course you wouldn’t want that. On the other hand, if you have a Vancouver deck addition and a garage renovation in Langley that’s well executed, you’ll have a sound investment that will last for many years. So choose – your family deserves it.
