Of Intimate Reunions and Sonoma Private Wine Tours

By: James30

You hang up the phone with a smile wistfully tugging on your lips. In a few weeks, your best friend is coming over to visit you, and she’ll stay for a couple of days. Of course you know that in the grand scale of things it’s not very dramatic, but it doesn’t matter. After all, it’s been literally ages since you last saw each other, and you can’t wait to catch up with the woman you’ve known the longest outside of your family.

It all started in junior high. You had all the classic symptoms of a regular teenager: shy, unsure, and an introvert. You did have a number of friends, but you certainly didn’t hang out with the “in” crowd, and the table where you sat in the cafeteria was always a considerable distance away from all the major happenings. On the first day of Biology laboratory class, you were paired up with one of the most popular girl in school. She was gorgeous, confident, and sociable – in a nutshell, everything you were not.

You didn’t entertain the idea of sitting next to her two days every week for the rest of the term, and you were willing to bet she felt the same too. But fate can be a funny thing, and somehow that time it worked in your favor. Quite by accident, you both found out that you had a mutual love for sweets, and that triggered a tentative conversation that gradually revolved into a friendship that would last many years. You would meet up with her before or after Biology class, amiably sharing stories over cupcakes, ice cream, or muffins.

You got along so well that you continued the meet ups long after the class was over, and even through high school, university, and post graduate programs. When you both started working, though, she as a PR executive and you as a lawyer, the “real world” somehow got in the way. You kept in touch through an assorted series of calls, online chats, social media networks, and yes, photo swaps of your latest sweet discoveries from your respective cities, and although it’s a lot of fun, it’s still not the same as having your closest girl friend sit right in front of you.

Until now.

She’s taking some time off from work to visit you in lieu of your upcoming birthday. Of course it’s a given that you’ll also be going on a quick break while she’s with you, but the question is this: what will you do to keep her happily occupied? Well, since you both love drinking wine while sampling mouth-watering desserts, why not opt for wine tours from San Francisco and Napa Valley wine country tours?

Good quality private wine tours like some notable Napa Valley wine tours will ensure that your best friend can get a good overview of the wines your city is famous for, without being part of a horde of other visitors. In other words, it would be a great way to catch up while still having fun – just like you want to.
