Achieving mlm success relies more on Network Marketing Training than on any other factor. We all know that the majority of people who start an mlm business do not succeed, and one of the major causes of this is that they weren’t offered any training. The main need for training is that a network marketing business is unlike most other businesses out there. You have to approach it differently than you would say a retail business. Another reason for network marketing training is to overcome preconceived ideas about what an mlm business is, and how it should be run. Most people over complicate the business and as such de-motivate themselves at the same time. Once you lose motivation, so will your downline, and your mlm business is doomed.
So what sort of training do you need? You need to learn about 2 main things. Firstly, you need thorough training on the products and/or services you are selling. If someone asks you a curly question, you need to be able to answer them immediately and confidently. The only way to do this is to know everything about your mlm company inside and out. If your mlm company doesn’t provide any training, then make sure you read all the FAQs, and especially the forums. If you have any questions, then make sure you post it in the forums, or email the staff at your company. If you have questions, it is likely that your downline and customers will have similar questions. Knowing the answer to these questions will help a great deal in building trust.
The other sort of network marketing training you need is on how to build your mlm business (i.e. how to grow your downline). There are hundreds of web pages dedicated to this topic so I won’t go into too much detail here, but the key is duplication. Start simple and small, then find others to do the same. Teach them to also start simple and find others to do the same. You can see where I am going. Rather than sell 1000 widgets a month yourself, if you sell 2 widgets a month, and teach others that that is all they have to do (along with finding 2 others to do the same), by the time you get to 6 levels deep, your business is moving 2048 widgets a month, and everybody in your downline ( at least down to level 5) will benefit.
Now, it is vitally important that whatever you have learnt along the way that has helped, you pass this information onto your downline so they can also benefit from it. An easy way to do this is to email out a newsletter every week or month. This will also help your downline feel like you actually care about their business (which of course you do!).
If you mlm company runs conference calls or seminars, attend as many as you possibly can, and again encourage your downline to do so as well. These are usually of great benefit, and also increase the feeling of ownership in your business.
