If you just want to get away and chill out, escaping for a night in a vineyard cabin and sampling wines could be just the thing ! It's truly an unique experience to take in over 70 miles of gentle hills and fams on your tour. Visit historic plantations and gardens at Chinqua-penn, go for walks in the countryside and, of course, sample the regionally-made wines on the trail.
On the Piedmont Heritage Wine Trail there are four wineries They feature wine ranging from full-bodied Cabenet Sauvignon, muscadines like Carols and Niagara, and fruit-flavored delights such as Peach, Strawberry, and Blueberry.
There are also some great non-wine attractions along the trail. These include Stonefield's "Girls Night Out" and "Soup and Sing" potluck open mic nights.
The Piedmont Heritage Wine Trail is not far from Greensboro and Winston Salem. Both of these cities are great places to visit.
The four wineries on the Piedmont Heritage Wine Trail include Stonefield Cellers in Stokesdale, Grove Winery in Gibsonville, Chinqua-Penn Vineyards in Reidsville, and Autumn Creek Vineyards in Mayodan.
