My Love for Movies Rekindled By Blockbuster

By: David Stack

It goes without saying that I am a movie buff. I love film, no matter the genre; I have been watching and enjoying movies for as long as I can remember. To me, Friday nights meant walking all the way to the local town cinema to see the latest Tom Cruise or Will Smith or Julia Roberts starrer. And weekends meant scouring the video rental store for hard-to-find titles. As time goes by and as technology continues its revolution, however, there arrives newer ways to view movies, most of which are in-home. The Internet has made possible the free download and use of movie torrents. Youtube, meanwhile, is another Web-based avenue through which one can upload or watch independent movies and short films. But my favorite movie pastime at present is using Blockbuster Total Access promotional codes or Blockbuster UK promotional coupon codes. I save a lot of money that way - while continuing to pursue my passion for film...

...which is an almost unquenchable passion. To me, movies offer a peek at a world that's different and far more fascinating than the one in which we live. It's a world where possibilities are endless, where anyone can do anything, and where dreams can come true. How many times have I sat transfixed in front of a silver screen, or a DVD movie, I cannot even be bothered to count.

Enter Blockbuster. Blockbuster, Inc. is one of America's leading providers of in-home rental, retail movie, and game entertainment. It was once a single video rental store, but it grew so big: today, the company is operating 9,000 franchised stores throughout the United States and in twenty-three other countries. Of course, the company's growth has also been reflected by their presence on the Internet.

Blockbuster's websites have been more than instrumental in rekindling my love for movies. Sure, my trips to the cinema are becoming less frequent. And yes, I have fewer memberships than ever in video rental stores here in my city. But that doesn't mean I have stopped watching - because I haven't. It's only that I am spending more effort in acquiring new titles online than in guzzling gas on trips to the movie theater.

Armed with the store's coupon codes, also retrieved online, I visit Blockbuster on the Internet so I can rent DVDs online and have them delivered directly to my door. There are more than 80,000 titles to choose from a wide variety of genres: classics, hot new releases, action, romantic comedies, documentary, music, horror, sci-fi, period films, and others. There are so many choices which are presented at an affordable rate; really, it doesn't cost much to rent movies because I needed only to pay Blockbuster a low monthly membership free. There are also other movie online deals that come without charge: free shipping, free trials, a certain number of free in-store rentals each month, even free video games (not that I care much for these). With the emergence of online rental, all I have to do is point, click, sit back, and enjoy the show.
