Mediterranean Diet is a way of life!

It often seems that being healthy is associated with depriving ourselves of food we love, but in fact, good nutrition is a matter of becoming aware of what we are eating and making choices.

So how do we lose weight? There is only one simple answer to this question: “eat a little less and exercise a little more.” In recent years much has been said about the Mediterranean diet and food, offering a safe and healthy weight loss. Standard Mediterranean Diet consists of wide variety of breads and grains and high daily consumption of fruits and vegetable. Olive oil is embraced and dairy is consumed in moderation. Red meat is limited, while fresh fish is served at least once weekly. Nuts may be enjoyed by the handful and indulging in a glass or two of wine is divine, not sinful, due to its powerful antioxidant properties.
