For better understanding of the topic, we can say that in impersonal relationships, the basic communication method is observed. On the other hand, in interpersonal relationships, due to wider background knowledge, one is able to explain and justify a particular behavior. In the former, the rules of interaction are set down by social customs and traditions, but in the latter situation, the social norms no longer regulate the relationship.
