How to Use Fiber for Eliminating and Curing Constipation

So many people are afflicted with chronic constipation. They donít always know how to eliminate it. Relieving constipation of this type can create some real challenges and often results in failure. The cause of constipation can be quite simple or complex depending on the person. Some people simply need a small change in diet while other may need doctorís drugs.

Going to a doctor may get you cure for a moment. But, constipation will come back, since you have not dealt with the cause. Drugs suppress the cause of constipation and cause other symptoms to take its place. When under a doctorís care, tell him you want to minimize the use of drugs and ask if him if he has other suggestions other than using drugs.

Here are some very basic, common, and effective methods to help you control and get rid of constipation safely. All of the remedies are natural and you can apply them to help yourself control how you get well.

The first thing to start with is your diet. Start adding more fiber to your eating pattern. Most people only have around 10 gm of fiber daily. But you need to get your fiber intake to at least 25 gm per day. Add more fiber to your diet a little at a time.

In the morning, your breakfast should be only fruit juices and fruits. Eating heavy food as breakfast will block your natural morning detoxification, which is necessary to prevent and cure constipation. Fruits have the fiber, which stimulates the colon to have a bowel movement.

For lunch you can eat meat or carbohydrates. But, you must add vegetables to this meal. If you donít, you will have constipation or you will become more constipated. Vegetables provide the fiber and nutrients to keep you free of constipation.

Drink more water during the day to make your stools softer. Of course, eating fruits and vegetables gives you some water, since they are around 80% water. Now, donít get caught up in the idea that you need 8 glasses of water per day. Most likely you only need 4 glasses per day. But drink water, when you are thirsty, not to up the count on your glasses per day.

You can relieve constipation by not eating constipation creating foods. This will be a tremendous help in improving your bowel frequency. These foods are all white flour products, all foods in packages, cakes, cup cakes, donuts, cookies, pies, and all sweets. Notice that all of these foods are not natural and do not contain fiber. Without fiber the foods you eat will be hard to move along your colon.

Bad bacteria, if allow to multiply, can cause constipation. This bacterium thrives on undigested food. Its life in the colon is detrimental, when it is allowed to overtake the good bacteria. When this happens, the bad bacteriaís excess waste and excretions cause your colon to become toxic. This weakens the colon walls, which leads to constipation.

You can control the bad bacteria in your colon by not eating too much meat. When you eat too much meat some of it will be undigested. Undigested meat or protein is what feeds the bad bacteria, helping them to multiple and become stronger.

With these few tips, you can make a start to get rid of your chronic constipation. Take serious the use of fruit and their juices in the morning. And, adding plenty of vegetables with your protein and carbohydrate meals will prevent constipation. Careful with the water and donít drink 8 glasses a day unless you are an athlete or are working in the hot sun every day.
