How to Find Hard Working Affiliates

There is always a lot of debate when it comes to affiliate marketing and whether it really works, but figures show that this is an affordable marketing opportunity which ensures you reach your target audience.

When you join an affiliate network you don't know who the marketers are that offer their services, you don't know how successful they are and whether they spend time marketing or expect the work to complete itself.

If you are paying for any marketing, you need to know the affiliate you choose is working hard and achieving success for the business, so where do you start?

A Little Research Goes a Long Way

One of the many ways to find a hard working affiliate is through customer analysis. Do a search on your competitors and see what affiliate network they are using and who is doing their marketing for them.

Most affiliates will market the business on a blog or their website, so it's easy to track them down.

If you do a simple online search and a competitor comes up time and time again, then you know their affiliate is working for them and achieving the results you want to achieve.

You can write up a marketing letter and forward it to them asking them if they would be interested in working with you.

Choose a Reputable Affiliate Network

There is a large number of affiliate networks available, again you need to do research to determine which network is the best option for your business. You need to know that the affiliates that take on your marketing offer good information and don't spam emails to unsuspecting individuals, you don't want your business getting a bad name.

Read up on the networks, search for them online and see what results come up. Bad reviews are easy to find when searching for companies and the same applies with affiliate networks helping you make an informed decision.

Search Your Niche

Do an online search of your niche, search for products and services and see what comes up in the search engine results. This way you can find out which marketers are promoting what products, are they using blogs or their own websites and what their level of success is.


Regular monitoring can help you find the best affiliate to market your business. If you know one of your competitors are using a marketer and they have the same advert running for weeks on end, they are obviously achieving results otherwise they wouldn't still be using that marketer.

Results mean profits, so if you know the affiliate is definitely providing those results, see if you can't get them to help you with your marketing objectives.

Whenever you choose affiliate marketing to promote your products give it a set time frame to see results. Remember most affiliate networks will enable you to see which affiliate got the best results, where your new sales came from or where your new website traffic came from.

This information gives you an insight into which of the affiliates are working for you and which adverts are working, discard anything that isn't producing results.
