How To Refresh Yourself - What To Do For Breaks

Many people including myself often just get overloaded by the information on the internet or disheartened by the lack of positive results they are getting, not knowing what to do next or feeling too overwhelmed to take the next step.  Internet Marketing is a good job, but while your getting started there is almost ALWAYS an overload of information, what you should be doing, what not to do, where to do it, why to do it, when to do it and the list goes on.  Often we just need to let our minds get some time to rest, either because of stress, lack of ideas, or maybe they just need time out.
The following is some things I do to reduce stress, come up with ideas, or rest my mind.

  • Walking your dogs in the park, or just going for a walk yourself.

  • Going and playing some X-box games, REALLY good stress relief

  • Going for a 30 minute power nap

  • Going to bed earlier, having dinner earlier.

  • Listening to your favourite tunes

  • Meditate, crossing your legs, and Zen breathing, the whole lot.

  • Take your significant other to a new movie, or out to dinner

  • Browse your favourite website

  • Writing some none business related articles

  • Watch a movie

  • Go for a dip in your pool

Some of these ideas are on a bigger scale, because sometimes we just have a few days at a time that just plain SUCK or some weeks we just feel that the whole world is against us.

  • Going to the beach with your mates or kids for a day.

  • A day at the Day Spa with your spouse

Make sure you have a time limit on the activities because it is REALLY easy to get sidetracked and spend hours not working if you are enjoying something enough. In my experience, after this you should normally come back to work refreshed and hopefully in a new, more positive state of mind and with more ideas.
