In 1983 and 1984 he was selected by the NCAA. He won the Naismith and Wooden Collage championship in the year 1984 and he returned to North Carolina in 1986 after completing his degree.

In 1984 he joined the NBA’s Chicago Bulls and in a short time he became the star basketball player with his prolific scoring. He was renouned as “Air Jordan“ and “His Airness” by his leaking ability and throw line slam duck. He became the best defensive player and thus gained reputation. In 1991, he won his first NBA basketball championship with the Chicago Bulls.

In 1993-94 Jordan abruptly retired from NBA to pursue a baseball career and he was rejoined NBA in 1995 and led his team three back to back championships in 1996,97 and 98. Jordan once again retired in 1999 and again joined two NBA championships 2001 to 2003, as a member of the Washington wizards. Michael Jordan won all five MVP awards and also ten scoring titles, three still titles, six NBA Finals and in 1988 NBA defensive player of the year award. He was holding the highest career playoff session scoring average and in 1999 he was named the greatest North American Athlete of the twentieth century.
