With any barbeque, you need guests and nice outdoor weather. When you decide to have one, always plan ahead and make sure that there are not any scheduling conflicts with guests. Usually, determining a date that works for everyone should not be a problem as long as you give everyone enough notice.

Have things like matching napkins, tablecloths, and plates. Match the decor according to the party. For instance with a luau creatively match things such as the utensils, Tiki torches, and leis, all of which are inexpensive. The Tiki torches are something that you can even reuse later.
Make sure to set up everything up before guests start to arrive. It only takes a few minutes of time to prepare everything, but your guests will react as if you were preparing all day. Cooking while guests are coming in, provides a nice and inviting smell.
Here is one Barbeque Recipe that you may want to try
5 lbs spareribs (pork)
1 Cup water
1/3 cup margarine or butter
2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh)
1/4 cup dry mustard
1/4 cup chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
Teaspoon onion powder
Teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Put the spareribs in a broiler pan and cover with foil. Cook them at 450 degrees for 1.5 hours. This is great on an outdoor gas grill.
While cooking, combine the other remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Mix everything well and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Brush the sauce on the ribs and then broil five inches from heat for 7 to 10 minutes on each side, serve rest of sauce with ribs.
And don't forget to have plenty of beverages in the cooler as well.
