Draw Future Goals Into Your Everyday life

By: Gillian Pearce

When you're focussing on the long term goal of creating a business it is very easy to put the rest of your life on hold and delay starting living until you've got more money and greater success. But what if you made each day be your best performance? Then you would no longer be waiting for some future day that’s more critical than this day but completely taking part in your life.

So you can do that you must ask yourself what it could require to reach your long term goals if you took measures every day, and then generate a game round that to ensure that those measures get done. Then you move from focussing ahead to fully participating in your daily activity. Rather than picturing some future that is really notable you're making now what life is about.

Your life is a twenty four hour life. You're born when you wake up every morning and "die" into deep sleep nightly. The hours between are the hours you get to build the life you really aspire to. If there is some future date that helps you form your activities today that is fine, but do not waste time feeling wary of the future and having that keep you back. Take the fear out of the dream and construct a project that you are able to accomplish today.

Not doing something due to fear is a common excuse. Adults think being fearful of a thing is grounds not to do it. As we grow up we discover increasingly that any anxiety or a mere sense of disquiet or of really not feeling comfortable, will prevent us. You can achieve anything you are frightened of if you really want to or if the business itself means more to you than your fear of carrying it out. Contrary to accepted belief there’s no connection between the fear of carrying something out and whether we can or can’t do it.

Also, protect against ideas becoming character traits. All you actually need to establish is what you would like to do today. That’s all you have. It doesn’t matter what you did in the past. You can start again each morning and ask yourself what would constitute a great day? What activities do you need to do in order for you to go to bed feeling proud of having completed them? Then do those things immediately and the remainder of the day you can take off. You can be a loafer but if you do the essential things first you'll still feel pleased with yourself.

This requires practice but as soon as you carry through on this on sufficient separate days, even when it feels unusual or disagreeable or not the real you, you will arrive at a point where it becomes the true you. Where it's more disagreeable to live the old way than it is to follow the new way.

While you are learning it's vital to be prepared to not get annoyed or frustrated if the old way creeps back in. It happens to everyone. That's what you used to do. You do not ever need to do that over again. You can have your life be like that never happened and go forward accordingly. What you’re going to do this day is the only thing that is important. When you take action the new way enough times you get to a position when, although you can not recollect when it happened, the new way has changed into the enduring way.

Teach yourself and practice and you can draw your future reality into who you are and what you're doing today. There is no need to delay.
