Ghee is a class of clarified butter that is hard to relay from Indian cuisines. Traditional ghee is made up of milk of buffalo or any other milk. Clarified butter or ghee is contains no butter particles or water. Butter is melted in a pot over high heat. Due to the heating, ghee has distinctive toasted flavor. The longer melted butter cooks, the more intense the resulting flavor of the clarified butter will be. It has been used in Indian cuisines since ancient times.

Healthy body needs healthy fats and one ghee benefit is that it is an easily digestible fat that contains no Trans-fat or hydrogenated fat. Making your own ghee is one easy way to preserve butter, which turns rancid and loses flavor.

Ghee is salt and lactose free so it is beneficial for those who canít eat or drink cheese. Ghee is said to have anti-viral and anti-cancer property. We all need healthy fats in our diet and Ghee is an easily digestible source of saturated fat that contains no Trans fats or hydrogenated fats. Ghee, however, is low in the essential omega 3 fatty acids you need for good brain health so upplementation with omega 3's is a needed for a healthy diet.

Ghee is also very alkaline for your body, which helps to offset the overwhelming acidity of most American diets. Coffee, sugar, alcohol, fast food and processed food are all very acidic, which helps to promote inflammation and diseases such as arthritis and cancer in our bodies. Ghee is widely available in the market, even nearby stores but it is better and easy to prepare ghee by your own at home, so as to get for unadulterated ghee.
