Other defects like long QT syndrome, have a bad effect on the heart's rhythm. Heart defects are one kind of the most common birth defects, which cause a lot of deaths of newborn infants.

There are some devices that are used in cardiology in Singapore. First, it is stethoscope. It is an acoustic device used to hear internal sounds including heart sounds. Second, it is pacemaker. It is an implanted electrical device used to replace the heart's natural pacemaker. Third, it is defibrillator. It is an electrical device used to alter the heart's rhythm with electrical energy. Fourth, it is automated external defibrillator. It is a device that is often designed for anyone to use and is commonly seen outside of health care settings. Fifthly, it is implantable cardioverter-defibrillator. It is an implanted device used to avoid life-threatening conditions. Sixth, it is artificial heart. It is actually an internal pump that replaces the function of the heart.
