Baler Twine Providers Middlesex

By: Greg Wade

There are now several thousands of plastic compactors being used in the UK and throughout the world. The balers are used for all types of businesses and organisations, such as restaurants, shops, manufacturers, recycling companies and so on. The waste baling consumer list is endless.

The majority of these waste compactors need baling strapping to tie the bales, as soon as they are baled. Some of the larger waste balers require steel wire to tie the baled waste material. It all depends on the dimension of the bale and the pressing force of the waste baler.

The commonest waste compactor dimension is one which produces smaller bales, usually weighing 20kg to 70kg. These smaller waste compactors generally use rolls of white polyester baler tape. This is a durable baling string with an integral polyester interweave, which is strong, durable and trustworthy, providing tensile strength perfect for baling cardboard, plastic, paper and other comparable waste materials.

This sort of woven polyester tape is perfect for use because it has no razor-sharp edges or ends, to injure employees or the cargo you are transporting. This suggested woven webbing system is also perfect because it cannot tear down its length like some hot melt systems do. Due to a natural element of elasticity in polyester, when properly applied this form of compactor strapping maintains tension, keeping your bales in shape during storage and transit. This type of baler tape is also only 16% of the weight of more costly steel banding tape of similar specification. This tape can easily be disposed of with your normal waste.

When waste compactor users want to buy compactor strapping, they can usually go for the wrong size of baling tape. You actually need to purchase twine of a minimum tensile strength to ensure you will possess good steadfast tie system.

For the smaller compactors, which produce bales up to 150kg, I would vouch for the polyester intertwine Compactor Twine from Strong Recycling Balers. This compactor strapping is 9mm wide and rolls are usually 250Metres long. They generally are sent in boxes of 8 rolls and are very competitively priced, including VAT and delivery.

Many providers of cardboard baler machinery, will supply this must-have consumable at very extortionate costs. Strong Recycling Balers look to be much cheaper by contrast. The best technique to weigh against compactor strapping prices is to compare the real full cost of delivery and taxes per metre. I.E. in a box of 8 rolls from Strong Recycling, you will be given 2,000 metres of waste baling twine for around £105. Another supplier may supply 2,100 metres for £196. It is easy to see where the value lies.

So it pays to actually look around in order to potentially save a lot of money.

Further savings can be achieved, basically by training your personnel to produce better compressed bales. In my past experience of visiting hundreds of sites and training workers to operate compactors, I have noticed that very often the baler is not used to its full capacity. If your bales are coming out floppy and loose, then you really need to evaluate the method for tying your bales. They should come out solid and very tight. This makes storage and transport easier. It also means greater compaction, less haulage and in turn, you will use much less waste baler tape.
