A Mother's Day Shop in Maine

By: Mercie Hallow

May is the month wherein we celebrate Mothers Day. It is an International celebration for our good mothers for raising us up in this world. I used to buy a bouquet full of flowers and a special Mothers Day card/ gift for my mom on Mothers Days. Now that I'm also a parent, I often think of the ways on how to treat my mother on this special day.
A bouquet of flowers is still the most popular and sought after gift on Mothers Day, especially for moms who stay at home. Personalized planners and organizers are more fitting for a career mother who works everyday. Scrap booking kits are also popular choice as a gift for hands on mom at home. Whatever gifts we have in mind, it is actually the though of remembering our moms on this special occasion that really counts.
The One Stop Mothers Day Shop in Portland Maine is open on the last week of April up to Mothers Day to sell their Mothers Day gift items. Items being sold are usually homemade and craft stuffs that hobbyists make. The store opens at the usual store hours. It is truly a pleasure to see daughters, sons and husbands picking out their gifts for the special woman in their lives.
If picking a gift always remember to think of the person to whom the gift would be presented. It is important to decide based on the persons personality so one could know what the best gift for that person should be. Some people are a bit more creative in their approach by indirectly addressing the person a question about what gift would she like to receive. Witty!
Mothers Day is fast approaching. Have you thought of a gift to give your mom?
