The System x Technical Fundamentals principles V11 will have encounter with the System x product household and hands on encounter with customer surroundings, buying actions, and alternatives. At least six months is suggested.

Compare eX5 and M4 System x household with aggressive and common older System x servers
Discuss PureFlex and other relevant items.
Solve customer company issues using resources, methods, resources and procedures including: settings resources, amount of work calculating resources, industry standards, capacity preparing resources, financial modeling resources, Techline, and physical preparing tools

Area 2 - Apply Details / Set up Planning / Migration Considerations

Create a precise solution such as hosts, marketing, storage space, application, and services based upon the needs and objectives of the client in common situations.
Understand TDA specifications and choices or Business Partner equivalent
Create a simple execution strategy
Discuss energy structure to provide energy redundancy and UPS capabilities

Area 3 - Set up and Post Set up Support

Select the appropriate installation method for a client environment and set up the hosting server to meet or surpass the specifications.
In the area upgrade UEFI, firmware stage, and analytic edition stage and disk drive firmware using latest information.
Implement System implementation resources used to set up hosting server OS and application up-dates (ToolsCenter and Systems Director).
Describe the functions and choices of System Home and ToolsCenter
Configure IBM's components control solutions (AMM, IMM, and RSA II).
Use a centrally managed IBM System x tool to confirm BIOS/ UEFI, firmware stage, and analytic edition stage and upgrade if necessary.
Perform problem solving on installation and settings relevant issues.
Design and employ customer assistance strategy and problem escalation procedures
Describe the analytic functions available on System x and Edge hosts.
